Gameplay

How to play

The Layout

Each hand, 5 cards are dealt: the center one face up, the 4 corners face down. On your turn, place your pawn on a corner card.

Play Safe — Guaranteed Points

Go safe and you score standard points no matter the card.

Play Hunt — The Jack Hunt

Go hunt and you're chasing the Jack. Find it for +5! Miss it and pay a penalty.

Center Jack = ×2

If the center card is a Jack, every hunt score doubles — the Jack hunt pays up to +10!

Forced Hunt

Play safe twice in a row and you must hunt on the third hand. No playing it safe forever!

Winning

First to reach 13 points or more wins. If several players cross at once, they play an extra hand to decide it.

The signature moment

Flipping takes nerve

The table waits on your move. The pawn flips, the card turns — and either the Jack grins back at you, or you write down the penalty. This is exactly when the table holds its breath.

Modes

Wherever the table is set

2–6 players, one phone

Pass-and-play: the phone goes around the table, no internet needed. At a café, on a trip, after dinner.

Against bots

Three difficulties: Easy, Normal, Hard. The Hard bot really does the math — cautious when ahead, fearless when behind.

Online with friends

Share a 6-digit invite code and sit at the same table. No account, no sign-up; empty seats can be filled with bots.

Quick answers

Can I play offline?

Yes. Pass-and-play and bot games work fully offline; only the online-with-friends mode needs a connection.

Is the game free?

Completely free; ads only appear between games, never mid-hand. Everything purchasable is visual — no advantage is ever sold.

What does playing reversed mean?

Placing your pawn flipped means you’re hunting the Jack that hand: +5 if you find it, a penalty otherwise. High risk, high reward.

Can it be played with real cards?

Yes — the game was born at a real table. Pull 2 Kings, 2 Aces, 2 Queens and 2 Jacks from a deck; a flippable token each is all you need.
